Dr. Andrea Porter, originally from Florence, Alabama, is Associate Vice Provost of Curriculum and Academic Partnerships and Director of Dual Enrollment at Jacksonville State University. She came to JSU in 2005 after receiving her Ph.D. from The University of Alabama, master's degree from Mississippi State University, and bachelor's degree from the University of North Alabama, where she was recently named Alumni Educator of the Year for Higher Education. At JSU, she has served as faculty, Director of Graduate Studies, and Department Head of English. Dr. Porter also volunteers as a national officer of Zeta Tau Alpha and has received the Vivian Ulmer Smith National ZTA Recruitment Award.
