Spencer Williams is the Community Relations Manager at Alabama Power Company, overseeing external affairs and community development in Gadsden, Etowah County, St. Clair County, and Blount County. A proud native of Gadsden, Alabama, Spencer has dedicated his career to fostering economic growth, workforce development, and civic engagement within his community.
Williams began his journey with Alabama Power in 2004 as a Commercial Account Manager and has since held roles as a Commercial Development Specialist and New and Existing Commercial Account Manager. His extensive expertise includes supporting large commercial customers such as hospitals, colleges, universities, and federal institutions. Before joining Alabama Power, he gained leadership experience as a District Manager and Sales Operations Manager at Goodyear Tire and Rubber.
Spencer is a graduate of Alabama A&M University, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. He is also a Certified Energy Manager, a 2014 graduate of Leadership Etowah County, and a 2016 graduate of the Eastern Division Alabama Power Leadership Class.
Deeply committed to community service, Spencer serves on the board of Downtown Gadsden Incorporated, Gadsden airport authority, The Blount County economic development authority, as well as Gadsden City schools tech advisory committee, A proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Spencer continues to uphold a legacy of service and leadership.
Spencer resides in Rainbow City, Alabama, with his two children, Rachelle and Christian. Inspired by his parents, who were lifelong educators and active community members, Spencer strives to make his community a better place by building strong partnerships and unlocking the region's full potential
