Shaine is a Senior Staff Engineer and Department Lead of the Engine Control Department at Honda’s Alabama Auto Plant (AAP). He is responsible for coordinating and leading the business operations for the Engine Division.
Located in Lincoln, Alabama, Honda’s $2.6 billion vehicle and engine operation in Alabama employs more than 4,500 associates. The company produces the Odyssey minivan, Pilot sport utility vehicle, Ridgeline pickup truck, the Honda Passport SUV and the V-6 engines that power all four products.
Since joining Honda in May of 2001, Shaine has served in many roles within the Alabama plant, such as Production Management, Equipment Service Management and Department Lead roles.
Prior to coming to Honda in 2001, Shaine worked at Gulf States Steel in Gadsden, Alabama and US Steel in Birmingham. At both companies, he served as a Blast Furnace supervisor.
While working at Gulf States Steel, Shaine attended Gadsden State Community College, where he earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration in 2000. In 2015, he was a participant in the Leadership Etowah program.
A native of Attalla, and 16-year resident of Southside, Shaine and his wife, Carrie, have three sons, Patrick, Brock, and Eli. They are active members of Harvestfield Church in Rainbow City.
