Morgan Lavender is a Financial Services/Registered Representative with Modern Woodmen Financial.  She has been in the insurance and investment industry since 2008, working for Modern Woodmen since 2014.   Modern Woodmen has been Touching Lives and Securing Futures since 1883, through their Community Impact and Financial Services where they provide personalized advice and quality financial solutions.    Modern Woodmen Financial has been voted the past four years as the Gadsden Times Reader’s Choice Awards Top Investment Firms, and was nominated as a finalist for the Etowah Small Business of the Year for 10 and under employees in 2019, and nominated as a finalist for the Minority/Female owned business category in 2020.

She received a BS from Jacksonville State University and MS from the University of Alabama.  She is a graduate of Hokes Bluff High School and also attended Gadsden State Community College before transferring to JSU.   

Lavender has served on the YMCA Board from 2016-2018 and was Board Chair in 2017, James M. Barrie Center Board from 2015-2017, the American Red Cross Chapter Board from 2015-2017, The Love Center Board of Directors 2018-present, Shephard's Cove Hospice Foundation Board 2018-present, The Family Success Center of Etowah County Board 2019 and Chair Elect for 2021 ,  YLS Community Outreach Chair from 2016-2017, United Way Loaned Executive, United Way Allocations Committee, FBLA Gaston Advisory Committee, Gadsden State Alumni Association Member, JSU Alumni Association Member, 2015 YLS Young Philanthropist of the Year,  Chamber Ambassador,  Chamber Ambassador of the Year in 2017, MDRT Member and Presidents Club Sales leader in 2020, 2015 Advisor of the Year MWA Alabama East Region and Leadership Award, Century Club Sales Leader,  nominated for “Top 25 under 45" Leaders in Etowah County, and a graduate of the Leadership Etowah Program in 2018.  She was selected as the FIERCE award recipient at Advancing Women to the Top Conference in 2019.  She is the founder of the Matthew Alford Memorial Scholarship and is an active member at Hokes Bluff First United Methodist Church.  
 

She is married to Burt Lavender, and they have one son, Nash.

She is a lover, supporter and promoter of Etowah County and looks forward to serving her community in the future.
